PHYS 263 - GENERAL PHYSICS III
Topics include mechanical and electromagnetic waves, geometrical and wave optics, selected topics in special relativity, quantum mechanics, atomic, nuclear physics, and solid state physics, and related fields. A calculus-based general physics course, required for students majoring in engineering or one of the physical sciences. (NSLD) PREREQUISITE: A grade of C or better in PHYS 262 or consent of department. Three hours lecture, three hours laboratory, one hour discussion each week.
